welcome to 36 st micheal's place. yes, our front door balum bepasang, so we're using the screen door as a front door for now. so lets go thru downstairs ke atas.



the living room. its a bit dark but insyaAllah if we/saya rajin gonna get cushions to make the house more homey. coz it looks more like a bachelor pad now sans the disney movie dvds we haf.

the kitchen is? and yea, we dont haf a proper dining table, just that bar thing iatah atiq says its a bachelor pad. look at how big our fridge is! hehe. and its well-stocked too, so no way issit a bachelor pad =p

our bathroom! second bathroom balum ada pintu so its impossible to use unless u dont haf privacy issues so this is the one we all use atm.

bee's room!

jem was in the shower so i didnt take a picture of her room. nis's room still under renovation (her closet and lock) so the room shes staying now is just a temporary thing. our garden still looks crap but dave says its gonna get fixed soon - we still need a washing line, a backsplash granite thingy for the kitchen, a shelf in my room, jem's closet still has a hole in it but in all, its a pretty house kan?

my house is awesome

fact.

dave (landlord) stayed true to his words and re did everything from top to bottom. theres till a bit more work for them to do, he says work got delayed bcoz of the weather. i told u english weather sucks.

but the house is nice. the kitchen is OMGSUPERFANTASTICOFABULOUS and im happy with my room. i wish it cudve been bigger tho, bit of a squeeze kalau kan smbhyg and i cant do yoga at all. oh well,at least im paying less than my mates with biggers rooms are. the jambans are fab, but the water is stone cold. the heater cant seem to work sumhow so we called dave and he's here with a handyman fixing the heater. i hope this morning's cold shower was the last.

im tired. still have a couple of boxes to unpack. bilik c nisah samak uleh our stuff haha psl shes the last to arrive so we thought we'd just dump the stuff in her room dulu. bee came this morning :D with her mom. i was about to have a shower, ready in my towel and all but i was so excited that i stuck my head out (NOT advisable in english weather!) and screamed 'BEE!'

HAHA. i love the new house. so to frens in canterbury and all over uk, please come so u can be jealous of my gorgeous house. haha. awuu baah.. supaya mengeratkan sillaturrahim.

oh yes, raya's soon and insyaAllah me and the hsemates will have an open house. banyak kueh raya kami yo. bruneians are the most handalest penyeludup ever. lol segala2x dpt masuk customs. be kuyuk sudah tu sniffing the bags. eeeew. hehe. bah more unpacking to do. we'll get our tv from syamim's on sunday. will post up pictures of awesomegorgeousfantastic house soon.

end of summer holidays.

i start class on monday next week and leaving for canterbury tonite. yes, i've got the weekend but i'll be busy buying books, kitchen utensils etc for the house and cleaning. one good thing abt classes starting next week is that theres only lectures, no seminars yet! which means my monday will start at 12.. just nice dont u think? ;p

im in a last minute rush today. i just started packing but thres still some stuf to buy and wrap. i've got all my kueh rayas but takut pacah on the way so i need to wrap them to make them pacah-proof. i also need to buy some dvds and a yoga mat. some good ol' raya dvds supaya wujud suasana hari raya sana hehe and a few chick flicks. yes, i can get a yoga mat in canterbury but i knw i wont bcoz i'll be busy buying other stuff haha. so if i alredi haf a yoga mat at least i'll be focused to do yoga.

i feel excited and sad. its about time i leave, my utak being buntu and all. but mcm sedih rasanya coz hari raya is just around the corner and i'll be having classes. it wont be like last year when first week of raya coincided with my reading week. oh well, namanya dugaan belajar d rantauan.

finally decided on what to wear for the flight. but i still havent decided on what shoes to bring. maybe i'll buy a pair later?

haha. me and shopping. but murah rezeki masa anie, me leaving and relatives giving money here and thre. i knw its suppose to be for belanja d sana but its my money now kan? and im using it to buy stuff that i'll bring thre. anyhoo, going out with the bf's sister again today. i quote her 'suka kali ah abgmali adinya sama gfnya mesra alam'. heh? isnt mesra alam in english biodegradable? hehe awu deh, faham ku.

i miss my boyfren. he cant even send me off bcoz hes stuck in spore. dah itu kerja die.. apa bleh buat kan. i wish u luck thre syg. hang it thre. it'll get better soon.

obviously im slacking at the moment. im supposed to be wrapping. so bye bye brunei and sunny and hot weather. hello dreary and grey english weather. next post will be from canterbury. assalamu'alaikum!

i admit that i'm like my mum bcoz i love lists. i love making mundane lists like fantasy presents lists to the everyday grocery list. after all, a list keeps u going and on the right track, rite? heres a list of what i want and will (insyaAllah) achieve before my 30th birthday, ranging from the ambitious, boring and everyday and extrodinary.

1. save enuff money to buy myself an AUNTHENTIC LV/Dior bag
2. Grow my hair till it reaches my waist
3.Kick that last stubborn 1 kilogram off
4.Do yoga regularly
5.Get a law degree with honours in 2009
6.Do my barrister thingy (haha. The ‘thingy’ is just me. My seminar leader kept saying I need to use more ‘real’ words)
7.Do my masters
8.Get married
9.Have at least one baby
10.Get myself the most gorgeous car in the world. Rez knows what it is haha
11.Be a dutiful wife and doting mother and an even better daughter.
12.be a better cook
13.pierce my right ear to make it doubly equal to the other hehe
14.do sit ups regularly (this may just stay on the list without getting crossed off..)
15.buy my mum a dior bag bcoz i ruined hers 5 yrs back, but mainly bcoz i love her.
16.watch less MTV and more travel and living.
17.save money for my soon-t--be-a-reality fantasy walk-in shoe wardrobe complete with labels beautiful pine wood interiors.

and after that list i just had to share with u my lifelong goals ie be more 'alim', exercise more, eat healthily, mengumpat less, smile more often, stop giggling so much, appreciate my parents more and theres a lot more but its the typical list of everyday haha. dont wanna bore u guys too much since ur alredy on empty stomaches =p

to pablo, no, i havent left for uk yet. i'll be leaving on the 20th which is only 3DAYS AWAY! i alredi went to the dentist, printed some pictures, had my hair done, buat baju raya aaaand ordered kueh raya which hopefully siap b4 i leave. wat else ah?

the little things

in a positive turn of events, i spent the whole day ystrdy with my boyfren's sister helping her run errands. it was a nice change bcoz for once, both her and i know as much as the other about my flyboy but on different views, so it was fun to talk about him all day. haha no ppl saying 'enough about ur boyfren' or the likes. even if we didnt talk about him, it was about his family etc, which was pretty much the same thing as talking about him, in my opinion. altho there were a few bumps during the day (ie, i kinda bumped the car into another car when i drove her car while waiting for her), no lasting damage was done and i came home feeling positive and how lucky i am to have such a nice family to be joined to (amiiin~).

on the downside, i missed a high tea date with ka nadz and the kent gang bcoz of, um, clash of times hehe. but i made it up today at solitude, altho jem and apip cudnt make it, syamim made a special appearance which kinda made up for the absences a bit. so its been a pretty good couple of days. oh yea, and i went jogging at the tasik today. didnt sweat much tho. i miss the treadmill actually haha. plus there were monkeys so i had to stop after about 3 rounds.

oh well, tomoro is puasa. tdi i had terawih and it felt good. its been a long time since i went to the masjid bcoz even b4 i went to uk, i hadnt gone for terawih for a couple of years bcoz i had exams. anyhoo, selamat berpuasa ppl!

today is t -8 days and counting. still need to get a haircut and see the dentist and potong baju raya. haha sampat kah nie?

happy 20mths to my sayang. time flies when ur having fun yea? hehe. doakan supaya kami sampai ke alam perkawinan. amiinn~

in the meantime, its ramadhan and u knw the drill. take advantage of this holy month, banyakkan pahala and insyaAllah we will be rewarded tenfolds. amin~.

in the meantime

ramadhan in summer/autumn

so not looking forward to that. i know i am looking forward to going back to classes and lectures but not fasting where there's longer daylight hours. oh well, ini cobaan~

and it means i also have to give up my morning gym sessions. actually, my gym sessions have ended as of ysrtdy bcoz im not bothered with renewing my membership. wats the point if i cant go rite? its gonna be fasting and smbhyg terawih at nites. that, im eagerly waiting for. its been a while since i last went to the masjid to smbhyg. im hoping of squeezing a bit of yoga after that, but we'll see. anyhoo, smbhyg is sort of like yoga kan? and ada baca2xan which controls ur breathing. pokoknya it just depends on how rajin i am to do yoga after terawih hehe.

10 more days to go now. i still need to get my hair coloured/steamed and trimmed, teeth cleaned and scaled (i love going to the dentist!), call the movers to arrive on time, get my kueh rayas and decide on wat to wear on the plane. actually, that has been bothering me for quite awhile now. i need something comfy but vogue (of course) to wear, but then i dont wanna wear sumthing thats alredi similar to what i haf there. my usual response wud be to shop for something, but tehn, i'll be shopping again once i get thre. i wonder if ppl wud notice if i wear the same outfit i wore when i came here. haha. now that i've sed it, im guessing ppl will notice. and shoes. wat footwear to don on? slip ons, sneakers, heels or sandals?

and shud i get more new tudongs? psl if bali sana, everyone wears the same thing ie from tierack. and baju raya lgi? okay maybe i will wear my heels.. ada back up to go with my raya outfits.

haha im boring u guys rite? bah to kent ppl, tell me wat kueh rayas u want me to bring. kueh mor? check. tart nanas? check. but wat else?

im looking forward to seeing all the new juniors that i met on saturday and ones that i'm yet to meet. mcm banyak private students bah ke kent ah. but the more the merrier! and i cant wait to start decorating the house! plus, we're having 2 visitors staying with us till they get a place, plus bee's mum, so meriah lah rumah sikit. but it'll be puasa so i dont mind. i just hope i haf time to continue with my yoga. or rather, still haf the enthusiasm to do yoga on my own. hmm.. i'll try to drag bee into doing yoga. haha. how abt it, bee?

and i missed being able to say this last yr, so altho i knw its not exactly time yet, i wanna say selamat berpuasa! i hope i sempat watch those crazy sales ads on tv.
