my housemates ie manis and smelly LOVE to cook and bake.
last nite the kitchen was filled with salivating aromas as they baked chocolate chip cupcakes, lemon meringue cupcakes and apple turnovers.
lest to say we put the oven into good use.
this also means one has to have extreme willpower to refuse every baked goodie that comes out of the oven. they were baking around 8pm.. its like a double whammy for a recovering food addict: eating high sugar high carb food late at night.
the apple turnovers were evil. manis made them bite size, so the next thing u know u've chowed down 4 in the space of 5mins.
cupcakes atu jgntah d mention. but i guess because of having cupcakes almost everyday for the past 2 weeks, i wasnt eating so much of it cause i know we could bake more. the turnovers, however, were a different matter because it was the first time manis made them and it was deeelish! it was like apple pie from macdolong (mcDs to you and me), but better.
i think its already amazing that i manage to maintain my weight (give or take a couple of kilos) in such a household. hahaha gotta give myself credit =p
dinner lastnite was amazing as well. we had spaghetti meatballs baked with an absurd amount of cheese on top. i usually ask that a little corner to not have cheese but antah, lastnite i was like, lets go all out. plus, i was the one who made the meatballs so cant really blame them, can i? plus its not like they force-feed me or something huhu.
i shudnt reli blame anyone. like syaima said, i shud consider myself lucky that my housemates make amazing food =D
i just have to keep up my exercise regime then.
much love,
be'ah
