friday nite the raya feel finally sunk in for real. me and housemates plus apip and rezzy had rendang and lemang for supper. we usually dont have supper, but like how we all justify that second (or third) helping during raya, 'hari raya bah. biar tia mkn banyak. nanti baru diet'. haha. speaking of which, i havent done yoga since forever and im hoping to get it done today. see if im still as flexible as ever.
aunty may and uncle mahri had their open house ystrdy, we came over on friday but that was just a get together for first day of raya. but i bonded enuff with their daughter fauzah to make her miss me enough hehe. and their girls are sooo adorable with their english accents. i like little girls! not in any perverse way but bcoz i dont haf sisters so i never knew the joy and pain of growing up with sisters. so there i was, happily plaiting fauzah's hair and layaning her questions and games. tiring, yes. but fun. i soo want kids!
on nother, totally unrelated story... i finally got my boots that i've been eying since wednesday!! there was a little love story in it, mind u, me and the boots being lovers. i've waited and waited for THREE WHOLE DAYS contemplating and thinking whether i shud buy them or not. then ystrdy i found a cheque from uni that i havent cashed in. i mean, that was surely a sign for me to get the boots? so me and apip took a little detour on the way to aunty may's place to get boots. i went in Jones but i couldnt find them! have they dissapeared? somebody bought them alredi? i was like 'noooooooo' and so upset was i that apip had to hold my hand all the way back to aunty may's place.
i cudnt stay depressed for long tho. there was fauzah and sarah to layan and i had to admit, they took my mind of my heartbroken heart. then apip sed she needed new batteries for her camera so off we went again in town. on the way back we passed jones and i was adamantly avoiding the shop window when apip exclaimed 'rabz! bukan atu kan ur boots?'
i cudnt believe my eyes! so i wnet into Jones and announced to a very surprised salesperson
can i please haf those boots (pointing at the window) in a size 4 please?'
im sure my glee and excitement were obvious. the guy said 'treating urself ey?'. i guess they dont get many students shopping there, seeing as the place is quite pricey. but thats why ive been thinking abt the boots so much, whether it was worht buying them or not.
but now, i have the boots safely snuggled in their box inside my closet! i'd like to thank nurairah afifah for her endless support in my endevour for the perfect boots and lending me the money since i left my handbag at aunty may's when we went out for batteries. i'd like to thank the Jones staff for accomodating the boots in my size and last but not least, the maker of the boots for making such a sexy pair.
dramatic much? haha i wish it'll get slightly chilly so i can wear my new boots. haha sudah atu! its been quite warm since first day of raya. faham jua english weather kan raya kali. haha.
on the flip side, i knw the weather's lovely and its raya, BUT i havent done any work at all for 2days in a row and i shud catch up on the work. only one more week till reading week (which i doubt i'll use for reading) and till my sayang comes!
raya, new boots and my sayang. u cudnt blame me for being annoyingly happy and hyper, cud u?
much love,
be'ah xxx
