i took the initiative to start my weekend early. i bunked off my friday classes.
actually, they're only lectures and they're online, so as long as i listen to them, i'll be fine.
so here i was, listening to ystrdy's lecture which i missed (i had period cramps, okay?) and then i found out the recording was only for about 2-3mins? nick jackson hadnt even got to the meat of the lecture. so now i dont knw wat im gonna do abt it. property is one of those modules that i cant help but hate. actually, hate's too strong a word. its just too confusing. and i thought reading abt it would help, but nooo` bcoz the author of the book decided it would be improper if we use a language that students could understand. we're gonna use the complicated confusing kind of language that will make ur life hell.
anyway, thats my take. but i knw some ppl do like, even love, property. so to each his own. bee, i knw u read this, so help me, pls!
besides property, i enjoy my other modules. family law is reli interesting, altho i dont knw how i'll do for the test in 3 weeks time. its an essay question, so i'll be depending on my GOG ie gift of the gob, which also means, cheat ur way thru bs-ing. but its reli fun bcoz some of the modules inter-relates, like family has a bit on property, stuff abt on divorce, how property is divided and etc.
obs2 is the most straightforward (in my opinion) of all my modules. what is obligations 2? its the art of suing. haha i dont knw if its just the evil in me who loves suing every lil' b*stard for every wrong they've done or if its my kesian natre to ensure the victim gets everything they're worth, but i love obs2 =D
now, my fave module of all so far, first year modules inclusive, is philosophy of law. sure, its a whole lot of gibberish and loads of metaphors but i like that all isnt all about facts but something deeper. ystrdy we went wayy deep in philosophy talking abt metaphysics and im sure everyone in the lecture room had reli bangang looks on their faces. steve (the lecturer) even went as deep as mentioning about islam and how ppl dont understand terrorists becoz they dont understand the religion. because today's society is all abt the physical that we find it simply crazy and bonkers when a religious belief is taken to that extreme. personally i tink suicide bombers are a bit extremists but being a muslim myself, i kinda of understand where they're coming. then steve went on abt how when the western ppl try to understand islam and read the Qur'an, more often that not, they convert. omgd THAT statement just made my day. i know im not a pious or maybe even that good of a muslim, but when i hear about new converts my heart just swells up with love =)
the problem with my lecture and seminar with steve ystrdy was that i was being attacked aggresively by my period cramps. so there i was in class, trying to sit still and not twist my body and having make do with clenching my fists and biting my lips to overcome the pain. but it was an interesting lesson nevertheless.
oh yes, i also left my file at my previous class b4 the one with steve, so i cudnt write any notes properly bcoz i had no paper. i wasnt biasa enuf with my seminar mates to ask for paper and the one person i biasa came late. i've been leaving stuff a couple of times now. first it was my bag, now its my file. cmon ppl, i actually left my bag! that is the one thing a girl NEVER goes without. in there is her lifeline, her fone, her money, her umbrella, her emergency Ms, her mirror!
but yes, i did leave my bag. i forgot. talur jua tu. and i've been feeling lethargic lately. i miss my gym so much. well its more the exercising that i miss. but now i gotta focus on my work and essays and i cant find the energy to fit both work and exercise into my schedule. im gonna go try jog tomoro tho. we'll see how the weather is tomoro. and how late/early i get up.
now i need to go research on my philosophy of law essay. looking forward to it! was planning to go to the library but i dont tink i wanna walk uphill in the rain.
much love,
be'ah xxx
